Free proxies belong to strangers. Anyone running one can see the traffic that is not end-to-end encrypted. Do not sign in to important accounts, pay or send private data through them. They also stop working without notice, so test before you rely on one.
A proxy is listed only if a real HTTPS request through it just worked, and it leaves the list when a later test fails.
Speed is how fast a proxy answers once it is connected: High under 1 s, Medium 1–3 s, Low over 3 s. The first connection takes longer and is shown under the speed.
